Unexpected acceleration at low speed

I was driving along today at around 25 mph soon approaching a red light. I took my foot off the gas to decelerate, but to my surprise the car accelerated on its own for about a half second before I slammed the brakes. I had full regen available. The road was quite wet, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it, but it was a bit scary. I have a 2016 refresh S60, no AP.
I'm going to call service tomorrow and mention the issue. Hopefully it's just a traction control glitch. Has anyone else experienced this?

In low traction situations the car may coast instead of regenning, since ABS is handled by the hydraulic braking subsystem and not the electric motors.

The fact that the car coasted may have felt to you like acceleration, especially since in ordinary situations you never really coast in a Tesla.

So did the speedometer show an increased, same, decreased speed?

You can recreate the scenario on a wet street without a traffic light and take your foot off at 25 mph and observe.

iirc it showed the same speed. Reading chillaban's reply however seems like that could have been the issue. I'll call service to confirm.
