Unlock driver's door and trunk close buttons dead

So today, first time driving with latest MS LR update I got last week (2001.36.5.1), when I reached my first stop the driver's door open button did not work. Had to figure out where the manual release was (fortunately it was easy to find.) After shutting it immediately and trying again, it opened fine with the button.

Then later I used the exterior trunk open button, which worked, but the close button did not and I had to pull it down by hand.

Based on all the posts related to updates- I think my learning is - Update only when you are in your home town and never update before a long trip or if you plan to go out of town .

My car was home being updated last week, while I was in Denver for a week at a software conference. I would have seen the same thing, probably, whether I drove Nameless the day after it was updated or, as it was, not until 4-5 days later...
