If Tesla open sourced the UI, we could skin it the way we want.

Pimp my ride, different from yours.

And secondly, sometimes the best interface is no interface. Invisible. Things just work, without requiring human inputs, or showing you stuff.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a range of icon and font sizes like I have on my phone! And yes, my eyes are 70 years old. My wife can't read the time or temperature on the dash, or date or odometer. Nobody seems to care at Tesla. I hope the redo will allow some choice. Matter of fact, I'd like a clock that people in the back seat could read, but would not cut into the screen maps or web or power displays. Can't do that yet.

You could put the browser on and go to http://qtes.la/ . Nice clock on that page. But you are right, aside from using a webpage, the fonts are small. I think with firmware 5.x they were even smaller!
