So I basically bought this front lip for looks and they’re the only company that had a decent looking front lip that was urethane and forgiving just in case the misses drives the car. Got the box in tact and the test fit was on point. No stretching or pulling like I’ve read for other lips. Even my body shop guy was impressed at the quality and fitment. Apparently UP also made a revision with the end cap returns and I have the newest version of the lip that covers the ends where other lips fall short. The attachment push connector are now beefier longer screw anchor type as well. Thanks @UnpluggedP

Overall I’m super happy with their product and best of all which wasn’t a factor to me...my efficiency has gone up! At higher speeds it’s about 10-15 kWh/mi lower consumption but at normal daily driving speeds on 9.5” wheels...I’m impressed.

Also one more thing to add. I have a semi steep driveway and while looking for a lip...I needed one that protrudes outwards and not downwards and UP fit that bill. Yes I go slow at an angle. So if you’re looking for an enhancement and doesn’t reduce ground clearance...this lip is for you.

@TwoK4drSi - are you still seeing the efficiency gains from the front lip. I’m looking to purchase the UP front lip and was hoping for efficiency gains at highway speeds. Also did you paint the lip to match your car?

But your right tire's outer edge treadwear looks abnormal to me. Either needs an alignment or underinflated if its the same on the inner edge tread

My tread wear is fine but this thread is about the lip so......

Was about to pull the trigger on this, but then I saw this video:

I think its probably cheaper to keep the tires inflated to the correct PSI over even slightly higher and drive slightly slower. Could save me almost $1000 shipped , but car looks better with the front lip.

My findings are in sync with that person. You will get a 15 kWh/mi reduction with the lip. Others at TOO have mentioned the rear spoiler adds more reduction.

cant take seriously someone who writes the model 3 has a "75000kw" battery, and then call it a "75kw" battery (its neither).

and then a dubious "road test" that shows like consumption down to 218wh/mi from a baseline 250wh/mi from 2 add on parts, like elon's engineering team left ~50mi of marketable range because they forgot how to shape a bumper lip.

I ordered it unpainted as I have a Body shop friend who painted it for me. I personally think it the best looking cleanest lip out there tbh.

Looks are subjective but in this case I agree it's the best looking lip. Bought mine some time ago and love it. It is on the higher side in terms of price but also the only lip with wind-tunnel testing results. Also think this lip looks best painted body color.

Currently its poo bc its real cold but nonetheless the lip is still the best lip out there.
