Florida Tesla Enthusiasts is pleased to be hosting Javier Verdura, Director, Product Design at Tesla Motors. He will be providing an informative presentation on Tesla, the future of energy and mobility and will be covering a wide gamut of Tesla topics. Javier reports directly to Franz von Holzhausen, Tesla’s Chief Designer and he meets regularly with Elon Musk to brief him on design developments.
We will be hosting this presentation at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando on Friday afternoon, on July 21st. This event is open to the first 150 people that register. Registration is free and will be offered first to our membership, their family and friends. Then, if there is available space, we will open up registrations to the public.

About Javier Verdura Director of Product Design at Tesla Motors
Mexico City-born Javier Verdura graduated from Pasedena’s ArtCenter College of Design with a degree in Product Design in 1991. His first position as a product designer was at Group Four Design, an award-winning New England firm. He later joined inno as Design Manager while he also became a part-time professor of Industrial Design at Georgia Tech’s School of Design and Architecture in Atlanta. In 1998, he joined then start-up firm Product Ventures, where he remained for 15 years as Vice President of Design and Development. His most recent position has brought Javier back to the Los Angeles area to Tesla Motors.
Over his 24-year career, Javier has designed everything from surgical equipment to consumer products and packaging. His work has won some of the industry’s most prestigious awards: 3 Red Dot Awards, 7 Good Design Awards, and an IDEA award. In addition, his name appears in more than 130 patents in the U.S. and abroad. Javier’s philosophy on Industrial Design is that if you can’t manufacture what you create, it is not worth designing.
Acting as the Director of Product Design at Tesla Motors, Javier Verdura belongs to in the inner circle of the elite design team. His goal is “to make the Tesla brand a household name” by designing products that meet the customer’s expectations.
