Does it show up on your notification windows on the Tesla website? Too lazy to go walk out to my car right now unless it's to start the update
I got a message on my phone. So I went to the website the Tesla website to see if there was a software update and there was no indication that there was. So when I got into my car I was so excited that there’s a software update yay
There won’t be any mention about software updates on the website (unless it’s a major update worthy of a blog post). Most updates are bug fixes and minor function changes. You get the update message on the car screen as shown. Notification on the iPhone or android app is hit or miss.
I always get a notification on my iPhone. Best way to see them on iOS is to set notifications from the app to manually dismiss so you need to tap them to get rid of them (in Settings). Be sure the app is also set to show you updates notifications (set in the app itself). But it’s correct that app notifications aren’t perfect.
That’s the only place besides the car. All this is another reason we can’t wait for the ‘request an update’ feature.
Just started my update!
Which version were you on before?
I was on 10.5. It was delivered with it on 2/26.
What a waste of space. Why do you think anyone would care? When your update is completed, and you know what version it is, that is what the update tracker is for:
If you have some insight into the functionality of the update, by all means please post here. But “just started my update”? Really?
Yes, it lets people know the frequency of the update being pushed out since we know it's not global. Other's have been getting it and others are still waiting. This whole thread is about getting pushed this update. Not everyone uses that tracker.
It's 12.1 but I figured that was obvious since it's the only update out right now.
No, posting "I've got it" or " I don't have it yet" gives no information on the frequency of the update. This has been discussed on the forum countless times. That's what the update tracker is for-- to see the statistics of how many people have received which update and what dates they received it.
I filed the update I just got on ev-fw (ducking)
Sorry for original post...
I had never seen a picture of what the update actually looks like on a model 3 screen on this forum inside my car.
Plus I am still figuring out how to get around here.
I was reading about the vampire drain and about phone key issues.
The recent updates cleared some of that up. I was happy to share that updates were happening so people would be happier that Tesla is trying to meet needs and improve the car for all of us.
The unlocking with phone key update 18.12 is an improvement
The auto pilot for the scroll wheel is an big improvement 18.12
The vampire drain from the previous release is an inprovement also
Sorry for upsetting people
I will try better to post stuff.
