Ugh...still waiting on my VIN. Ohio based here. This is week 4 after the mass 2-4 week text went out so I'm hoping I hear soon. Did you find yours in source code or is it showing up for you already?

For context, I never received the first mass text so you could still have chance. The VIN showed up in my source today.

As I was replying to this, I got the schedule delivery text. Scheduled for pickup this Saturday 6/27.

Hey guys,

Has anyone else's build tag changed to the following in their source code?

"BUILD_TAG_rc_202006222112_rel"

Previously it was the

BUILD_TAG_rc_20200618 or something along those lines.

Mike

Mine did the same, but I'm all but certain this number relates more to source code programming and has nothing to do with the actual build of the car. I've seen other people comment that this number actually didn't reflect their build at all and at times they received the car before this supposed date.

I agree - mine changed yesterday from something like

BUILD_TAG_rc_202006181936_rel_r_202006_3_alpha.r1

to

<!-- LB.36 -->

<!-- www.tesla.com -->

<!-- [BUILD_TAG_rc_202006222112_rel_O2D-7234-validationn-for-delivery-acceptance.r1] -->
<!-- You are viewing the D7 website. :boom: -->

The "validation for delivery acceptance" piece sounds promising! :)

Yes lol hoping that means something?! Anything at this point. Completely in the dark over here in Brooklyn NY. Haven’t received a text or anything.

Did go for a test drive in the Model Y Performance today though. That was fun and gave something to look forward to.

Those "build tags" you guys are seeing are likely stamped by the website code build process. The "RC" you see means "release candidate," with a date about when it was branched, locked, or deployed. Same with the ".r1" designation. The source code is reporting which source code branch/version it was produced with. It has nothing to do with car builds. It changed because a developer pushed a new version of the website code.

I have had a VIN (12XXX) for three weeks. Originally scheduled for 6/19 delivery. I was told a week before the car was in Birmingham (train depot) and would be on a truck to South Florida. I went back to the SC and another associate told me it was in Richmond and would next go to Birmingham. Then I was told it was in Birmingham and about to ship by truck. Delivery delayed to 6/24. Now delivery delayed to 6/28 and even that is unsure. My mental impression is my car is wandering aimlessly through the South on a truck.

Some suggestions for Tesla:

1. Rename your Sales Specialists to Sales Generalists because they know nothing of value.

2. Tesla is missing an opportunity to build hype over production-ramp-up cars being delivered by letting customers have limited access in the phone app if the VIN is assigned to track its location during transit to delivery. If Amazon (Bezos) can do it for millions of packages per day why can't Tesla (Elon) for a few thousand cars.

Picked up my black model LR AWD in Maryland. I had to wait an extra 45 minutes due to them not being ready (maybe to fix random issues?) Was mostly touchless, gave the tesla worker my checks and paperwork. He even gave me a nice overview of how the features work. Did a thorough check of the car inside and out. Inside the back seats were even but the floor mats and the driver's side seats in the front and back were a little dirty. A panel gap and misalignment of the passenger side rear tail light. Other than that it was a pretty good experience. Set up an appointment for next week to get these issues fixed. Thank goodness the service center is less than 5 miles away.

Picked up my Black on Black 19" today. VIN 12XXX, Mfg 6/20

Only Charge Port Door not flush with body. Have made a service appt for July, that is earliest available.

NO other issues found. You will fall in love with this baby.

I have never been so nervous picking up anything - reading up on forums about quality issues did keep me awake.

BUT nothing of that sort happened.

I have plasti dipped all the logos and Dual motor..

Attaching a picture at the dealership...

Question for those setting up service appointments after delivery (basically everyone). How do those work exactly? I see people say you have to do it within 100 miles or something but if you can’t get a service appointment within a week or so, I can’t see staying under 100 miles if you drive it for work. Is it just submitting the issues while under 100 and then you can go over before the appointment? I’m shocked tesla is even able to get someone to address these as quickly as it seems they are.

Hi everyone,

Just a silly question. Has anyone taken delivery of a black/black dual motor MY with the 20 inch induction wheels? Reason I ask is because I spoke to my local sales specialist and he said he hasn’t seen a single one and he thinks (just a guess on his part) that the hold up may have something to do with the wheels.

On another note, had a buddy order performance Y on June 23rd and is picking up today! Here I am waiting with my 1/31/20 reservation like many of you.

Same exact configuration. I've seen several have confirmed appointments but haven't seen any pop up as picked up
