Upgrade MCU1

I have a May 2017 Model X, my car doesn’t have dash cam cus MCU1, I was wondering Is MCU1 is capable for Full self drive capability?
I did order FSDC when I purchased my car in 2017, if MCU1 is too old for FSDC, is Tesla will upgrade my MCU1 to MCU2?

The bottom line answer is no one knows.

Is there an officially supported upgrade from MCU1 to MCU2? No.

Will a vehicle with MCU1 and FSD be upgradeable in order to take advantage of FSD features the current AP hardware cannot handle? It seems there is an official answer of yes, and at least some AP hardware upgrades have been installed. @bc0808, I'm on the same boat. I have a March 2017 MX100D and paid for FSD. The question is not "if" Tesla will upgrade, rather "when". And since it's Tesla, a lot can happen between now and when they decide to upgrade, which will change the whole equation again.
