    I have a Stealth Performance M3.
I was looking at T S p o r t l i n e wheels and I asked whether they could replace the 235/40/19 tire with a +1 size (255/35/19) when I purchase the wheel+tire package. They would not do the +1 size, they say they do not recommend it.

    Using this online calculator:
    tiresize dot com / wheel-offset-calculator

I get the following measurements... (see pic)

    1. Is there a concern for rubbing the inside fender while doing a full turn of the steering wheel?
The calculation shows .35" inward, closer to the suspension and .35" outward, toward the inside fender.

    2. Is there a concern for bottoming out since the tire height will be .4" lower, original is 26.4" +1 is .26.0"?
(Would this give the appearance like dropping the car by .4" or the opposite, showing more space between the tire & fender...I think the latter.)

I know I will be getting .7" more rubber per wheel on the asphalt so I know I'll use more watts/mile but I'll gain a bit more control without being too aggressive.

Thoughts from those who have done wheel/tire package upgrades?
