Uploaded data to Amazon?

Yesterday my MS uploaded 1.5 gb of data to....... Amazon!? What's up with *that* and has anyone else experienced this? I understand, and agreed to, data sharing with Tesla under the assumption that the data would be used to improve future firmware updates. I did NOT agree to have my data shared with a retail company who presumably will want to sell me products based on info gleaned from my car. This does not make any sense to me.

Perhaps Tesla uses AWS? I haven't looked into it but that would explain it.

They're probably using AWS. Nearly everyone else in the world does.

That would make me feel better. Can anyone confirm?

Never mind, a quick google search on my part seems to confirm that Tesla does use AWS. In fact, it seems that their account was hacked last year for bitcoin mining.
