Upper trunk lining

I took delivery this afternoon and when looking in the trunk when I got home, I noticed the upper surface of the trunk is bare metal and is not lined. Is this normal or did someone fall asleep at the factory?

Normal....You can purchase aftermarket liner cut to fit to dress it up/finish it out if desired.

I purchased and installed this...looks good, not sure there's any sound dampening benefit but overall a good product that fits well.
