Tesla already said it was an error, a mistake, and Elon apologized. What's this still about?

This is the Internet. It's about getting it on record that every customer has a right to govern Tesla's change from Motorola antenna amplifiers to Marconi antenna amplifiers(*), despite the company's specifications not listing that you're guaranteed a Motorola antenna amplifier.

(*)I doubt both Motorola and Marconi make the antenna amplifiers in Model S.

Just wanted to update everyone. I just got my car back from the Fremont service center with the alcantara retrofit. Although I haven't given it a thorough inspection, first impressions are very good. Fit and finish is spot on and no weird noises or vibrations. The alcantara does increase the luxurious feel of the car. I am quite satisfied and pleased that Tesla retrofitted the alcantara.

Talked to delivery specialist on my car today and they will be getting the parts and a team up from factory to replace the headliner on my car before I take delivery. No idea yet on timing, guessing it may be a bit quicker turn for me as they want to get my money and delivery the vehicle. Has anyone out there had their headliner replaced at this point and are they happy with the work that Tesla did in replacing it?

According to this same contact, only difference on my car from all other P85's is the headliner but I am pushing them harder on the dash as I'm betting if a couple others got leatherette, mine will have it as well. Personally, I would be more worried about them replacing the dash then the headliner as dashes are notorious for squeaks and rattles.

I had my 2013 model S headliner replaced with new alecantra way back the first 9 months of model S production. My car was delivered with frayed and badly installed cloth headliner. They put the new Alecantra in for free...cause of the fit and finish problem. The install was absolutely perfect. So I would say that Tesla will probably be very good at putting in Alecantra in a model 3 after the fact also.
