Also, the Mall category is extremely generic. There are lots of different sizes, and it's hard to know whether the agreement was made with the mall, or with a store in the mall with the ability to make its own agreement.

Key trend has been the increase in locations at gas stations and grocery stores.
Some large agreements with single companies have also been responsible for the shift..
But locations at malls are still being added quite rapidly. If anything, with malls desperate for foot traffic it should be easier than ever for Tesla to get agreeements with mall companies.

* Nothing against Long Island in particular, it's just that every time I see a new location in New York State, I get hopeful that it's a significant one for density, and then I see it's just another one in Long Island.

Just did an extensive road trip (7,500 miles) and as much as I hate it, the ones that were located at gas stations were probably the easiest to deal with. Lots of space, right at the exit ramp, restrooms that were clearly labeled (grocery and department stores are the worst where I usually make a loop around the building only to realize I missed it right at the front door because they don’t have signs). Many hotels are also bad about putting a sign near the front door pointing you to the restroom.

I had snacks with me in the car, so rarely was looking for food, just a restroom and a water fountain.
