USB-C connector for premium front console - no plans to release

it comes with both angles of the USB A. All you need to do is shave the type-c end to fit into the dock hole - 5 min work

That cable worked great for me. I had to shave away some of the surrounding plastic on the USB-C connector and shim underneath it to clear my case. One of the screw holes in the 2 piece clamshell holder had stripped, but I fixed that with a little epoxy in the hole.

This ended up working perfectly with a USB-C charger. No modifications needed. The plug fit really snug into the slot. Working perfect with my Galaxy S8.

Tesla just released a USB-C cable for the Model 3, which is also compatible with the existing premium dock. I just received my order.

Sadly, it won't support high-speed charging since it's A to C, but bleeding edge technology beggars can't be choosers. It gives me hope that our next Tesla will have USB-C ports built right in.

You need to go full dash charging with the cig lighter socket OR do Qi.

Well frick, I just ordered and installed the Cable Creation USB C cable... I used this one though:
