USB drive is not accessible by dashcam

I recently got that error:

USB drive is not accessible by dashcam. Reformat the drive to a supported format.

I have a sandisk usb adapter and a 256GB SanDisk microsd card. It's been working great for 2 months. Suddenly get this error. Both still work in my computer and I could see all the videos from the car there but stopped working in the car until I reformatted the sd card.

Anyone else have this happen?

Yes. It used to happen more frequently but less so now, although it still happens. Basically, you have to run a chkdisk on the drive to repair some non-existent error.
