USB Song or Artist Selection

Maybe I'm the only person to whom this wasn't intuitively obvious, but I just discovered a neat trick (new for me) when browsing by Artists or Songs on my USB drive.

Everyone can see the narrow column of characters to select the first letter of the Artist or Song, and I always just touched on the letter I was shooting for, and was happy if I got within 1 or 2 letters. Then I scrolled like crazy thru the list to find the song or artist I wanted. Not very safe while driving…

Today I tried pressing and holding on the letter column, and saw that a tab pops out with the letter highlighted, and you can then scroll like a Rolodex and stop on the exact letter that you want. Nice!!

Like I said, maybe everyone else already knew this, but perhaps this might help the one or two other folks who weren't aware of this feature.

No kirkp, I didn't know that! Can't wait to try it out. I put my entire collection of 40,000 songs on a hard drive connected via USB so this tip is awesome.

I knew about it because it is the same exact interface as any alphabetical list in ever Android device I've ever used. I'm sure it's the same way with iOS.

And how nice would it be if Tesla would actually display the artist name or any information when playing songs from USB which have been selected through the Folder option. Nothing comes up when doing this.
