Charging/Sync Cable Is Flexible yet Rigid - approximate length is 7 1/2 inches

It's a charging/sync cable equipped with a USB connector on one side and a Lightning connector on the other, and it's rigid enough to hold your iPhone 5 or iPod in whatever position you desire.

Sometimes you need your phone placed in a certain position a task that can usually be accommodated with your hands but not while you're driving.

Unfortunately, we often tangle the Phone cable while trying to keep it neat and out of the way of other patrons. However, this device is essentially a short cable with a reinforced housing.

The length keeps it out of the way, and the reinforced housing allows it to double as a stand without causing damage to your computer's USB port or your Phone's connector.

If you bend it down, will the top of the phone rest on the carpet? I like the idea of it holding my phone in place, but not really the idea of the entire weight of the phone resting on my USB port.

It's designed to hold phone up for viewing. If you want to place your phone on the console carpet - I suggest a shorter iPhone cable. They do make short ones.
