Use phone apps VENT function to crack frozen windows loose?

With the arrival of cold winter days comes frozen windows. I had to work at mine for a few minutes before getting the door open. And I was thinking, since the Vent button on the phone app drops the window about 2 inches, maybe that'd free frozen windows more easily then the normal window drop from opening the door.

Tried it on my car tonight, which had frozen windows after a car wash, and 3 of the 4 cracked loose fairly easily. The right rear door took some pounding.

We need a way to stop windows from freezing. Wax the bottom of the glass maybe?

Turn on the climate remotely 15 minutes before you leave and it'll warm up enough to just melt them. Or better yet just leave it on all the time so they never freeze in the first place.

I'm curious if people actually do this. I was unfortunate enough to have yanked the door open while it was frozen and couldn't roll the window down at all until I thawed it out a bit.
