Using one pneumatic and one regular trunk lift

Hi, I have a 2020 M3 that doesnt have the power trunk. So I installed a pair of pneumatic trunk lifts from Amazon. They work great on lifting the trunk all the way but they are almost too strong and take a lot of effort to close.

Is it OK to just use one pneumatic lift and another regular? Or will that cause som imbalance? Because when watching an installation how-to they said you had to remove both regular trunk lifts before even putting in one of the pneumatic lifts as of t was a problem to have one of each even temporarily.

Anyone with knowledge or exp of this?

The three pictures say it all. After five months, one of the struts came apart when I opened the trunk, went sideways under force and cracked my rear glass in my M3. The 2nd struct when I pulled it out, has a crack running through the plastic head but had not broken yet.. it was on it's way...

They don’t close by themselves? Isn’t that the whole point of powered struts?
