OP careful with the offsets - my understanding is that the reason you don't see a bunch of Model X out there with Model S wheels is the Model S offsets will not clear the break calipers on the Model X so even if you are "experimenting" try rotating the wheel in the air before lowering.

Are your 20" wheels T-Sportline? Maybe give them a call and ask first.
 
I would be a bit careful. I also moved from S to X and wondered 19 inch cyclone wheels for S (19 8.0J) could be used on X, as X has a Tesla genuine option for Winter Cyclone wheel set (19 8.5J).

Not sure why Tesla changed the size of 19 inch wheels, but it could be because the load ratings of the tire. The wider the tires, the bigger the load ratings.
