Using XBox controller for Tesla Arcade 2021 Model 3

let me preface by saying the info im seeking is strictly for my *ahem* kids

but i noticed there are only usb c ports in the new center console (2) and under the two read seat vents

does anyone know of a wireless controller adapter i can use to plug into these ports?

i did see a new xbox wireless controller with usb c cord but those are all sold out - was really wanting "Santa" to get it for them in a few days hahahaha

or could i just use the usb port in the glove box?

as you can tell, im not too savy with this kind of stuff

yes you are correct...glovebox is for the sentry

so am i trying to find an adequete cable from the xbox controller to usb c port? - cant seem to find one on amazon

or do i look for an usb c adaptor with a female usb port (im not even sure im using the correct lingo at this point)

if someone can provde a link to one, i would be soooo appreciative

I had one of these for viewing sentry videos on my phone (back before you could view on the screen). Would think a simple adapter would work for your scenario too.

You can use an adapter to plug in your controller to your car for now, and wait until for companies such as Taptes to make an updated USB hub for 2021 model 3s.

I had one of these for viewing sentry videos on my phone (back before you could view on the screen). Would think a simple adapter would work for your scenario too.

If the new Xbox one controllers have the new type C ports, it should theoretically work with a straight type C to type C cable on your 2021 Model 3.

No I don't think so. XBox controllers just use the USB to charge, I don't think the wireless XBox controller communicates over USB. You can get a wireless adapter that works for the Tesla instead.

i tried using that adapter for the wireless xbox controller but you need to update the adapter first - it wasnt a simple plug and play

ended up returning it and my kids just use the wired controllers with the c-port adapters linked further up this thread

Xbox controllers work with a usb-c cable, I just tested it. I thought I'd update this thread for anyone else searching.
