V10 in Canada - what will it come with?

What ever happened to the rumored phone/text message functionality v10 was supposed to have? Or did I just dream up reading that we were supposed to finally get integration of text message reading/dictating like pretty much every car with android auto or apple car play has?

90% of my texting is WhatsApp or other messaging apps... So even that won't be so useful to me. Still better than nothing and if it lets you send messages that'll be useful to me.

I’m very happy with the Spotify, Netflix and Youtube using the LTE.

If Tesla is planning to kill the free LTE for these and offering it as a subscription, they have me hooked, especially if the subscription includes activating more speakers.

Im seeing the Hulu has been dropped from some Canadian v10 cars. Probably due to Hulu being region specific. Side note, Plex does work within the browser (not full screen), and through the Youtube app (redirection trick).

Can you describe how you got Plex working?

I have the SR+ in Ontario Canada, still no update yet.
Rebooted the car, setting is set to Advance update and car is connected to home WiFi. Still nothing.

There doesn't appear to be a way to expedite an upgrade other than through a service centre. Back when I first got my car in 2015 it could be weeks until you got an update, in more recent years updates seem to be done in a much more expedited time frame.

I got the update last night, the support person I was talking to recommended powering off the car from the in car menu for >2mins then doing a screen reset. After about a hour or so of being connected to wifi I got the update. (SR+ w/ FSD)

I just got V10 on my 2017 MS. It gives me the new visualization on the IC, Spotify. Thats about it. No smart summon or theatre for us MCU1 users. Also, no update to sentry mode to include rear cam files.

So far only FSD and EAP customers have received the V10 update, correct? Maybe some AWD customers as well?

That’s been my understanding so far.. I would say generic SR+ will probably come the end of the week.

As mentioned here (or another thread), even though Canadian did not receive Smart Summon, basic Summon did receive significant improvement. Summon now connects way waster and works very far away from car.

Has anybody got visualizations like this:

(showing cars in all lanes, not just the lane to the left and right of you)

Mine only shows those lanes and not all lanes, especially not all oncoming lanes. Wonder if this didn't make it to the final v10 release or if this is a HW 2.5 vs HW 3 issue.

No oncoming traffic on mine. H2.5.

The speakers can't be activated because most are not hooked up I believe
