V10 - What about FSD owners in Europe

Well, that was not exactly clear..
Review corner cases before they will seek regulatory approval in each country.
So, maybe they look at corner cases in a month, maybe half a year, maybe a year, who knows.
Then the government in each country has to review and approve. Which also here in Norway at least isn't known to go fast.

However, someone in the tweets linked to this: Stop crippling Tesla Autopilot in Europe

Really typical, ordered my S in June 2017, with all bells and whistles, "future proof" they said.
2 months later I learned about mcu2.
So even if I where promised that if my hardware needs to be upgraded to get all functions, they haven't. Seems to be only the FSD option they will upgrade on.

Okay, my rant aside, I think they should have been able to squeeze both Netflix and proper sentry mode in the mcu1, really can't understand the reason why they won't.
Set aside prosesses that run when you drive, they aren't running while you are parked, shouldn't be.
However, I'm glad that several of the functions at least gets to some outside of the USA. :)

Okey, I was under the impression that it was the mcu that govern it.
So, that means that when we get upgraded to hw3 our ap2 will get the full functionality of sentry mode.
At least in theory.

Possibly. AP2.0 uses different cameras from AP2.5 in addition to one less SoC inside the APE unit. So it is possible Tesla doesn't want to save videos from the camera that wouldn't be color. (I think it is just grey/red.)

Tesla tells a lot of fairytales in order to sell cars in order to get the transition done. They are great at PR.
