V9 39.7 - Dashcam not working

Can’t tell for sure but no X since I got 42.2 in my 3 last Saturday.

I also got 42.2 on my MX since last Saturday and no "X" on the dashcam so far.

Nope. Have not pressed it and so far so good.

I don't touch the pause button and it's fine for days. I still had corruption when pressing the pause button and pulling the USB drive out. Someone recommended doing a shutdown from the car menu before removing, which I will try eventually.

I don't think Tesla fixes it the correct way by properly umount the USB before power off. I notice the camera icon comes on later than before when I start up the car. I speculate that when it detects disk corruption, instead of throwing up an "X" and stop working, it runs a check disk to fix the corruption.

Not sure yet. I got the gray x before upgrading to 42.2. Now it's had a red dot for a day or two. Will keep monitoring to see if that turns into an x after a few days.

No "X" since 42.2. Not sure if it's fixed or if it just takes longer to happen.

Been driving for more than a week now and no X. It looks like it's been fixed. I also got updated to 42.4 version.

I'm at 42.4 and I still get no dashcam icon where I did before. I even reformatted the drive and added back the TeslaCam folder.

I followed instructions for install but only get an x. It has never worked. Formated fat32 and added teslacam dir in root
