2018.39.6 Anyone have a reason for why Google Maps update faster than the plain, nearly-featureless maps in the Nav display? It’s counterintuitive. Google Maps have much more data to be displayed, yet they update significantly faster, especially when I move the map to a completely new location & Nav has to rebuild the display.
Same reason why the web browser is way faster? Cause your $1,000 smart phone is faster and built to do those tasks?
Update: I called Tesla about this problem, and they can reproduce the problem on AP 2.0 hardware with V9. The problem doesn’t appear on AP 2.0 hardware & V8.1, nor does it appear on AP 2.5 hardware. The problem is being sent up the line, so perhaps a fix will come in a future firmware update.
