finally got v9 last night - have they changed the way traffic is displayed, or is there something wrong with my install of v9? it doesn't show green anymore, only yellow and red...it makes it nearly impossible to see at a quick glance where there are traffic spots, because it blends in with everything else on the map.
Same for me. I think some hypothesized that this is due to missing hi-rez maps? I may be misremembering, as that doesn't ring true.
That actually makes more sense to me. It only looks wrong because I'm used to greens, but knowing it's by design I can deal. Traffic is either "OK" (normal) or "slow" (various shades of red).
my only problem with this is like i said, the red and yellow seem to blend in with everything else...especially when satellite view is turned on. it's very tough to see at a quick glance where the trouble spots are...it was much easier to spot them against the rest of the road being green.
ok, after a few days of using this...can someone get in elon's ear about changing this back? it's really almost impossible to see where traffic is unless it's a huge stretch of red...
As a late adopter of V9 I too am very disappointed with the new traffic view. I can live without the green but I can barely see the red now. And I see random stretches of orange that seem meaningless. It actually presents a safety hazard relative to what was clearly defined pre V9 Please Tesla define the red with more that a mircscopic thin line
read the thread just linked to above and you might change your mind. that problem is something i hadn't even considered when i started this thread months ago, but it is a BIG problem...
I'm all for @brkaus being able to have a reduced-information traffic view if he wants, as long as I'm also able to get all the information that I was able to see in prior releases. Tesla could solve this with a preference switch (or even a "long press" on the existing traffic button, despite the fact that I really hate non-intuitive, non-discoverable behaviors of UI elements.) But I'm not holding out any hope.
