Vampire drain on key fob and car from proximity

Hi all, if one keeps the X in the garage and the key fob is actually stored close enough to continually trigger the car’s lights and mirrors, what’s the expected battery drain on the key fob and the car?

Hi all, if one keeps the X in the garage and the key fob is actually stored close enough to continually trigger the car’s lights and mirrors, what’s the expected battery drain on the key fob and the car?

I initially tried to keep fob in the car and it used a lot of vampire. I now hang my hang just out of range and it’s been good.

I had a long saga of finding you have to keep them further away than you think, even if in a faraday bag. Ten feet away is not enough even if in a bag. Had to move them upstairs.

The car kept waking up when a fob was inside through a wall 10 feet away in a faraday bag. So, to be sure the car is actually asleep, move the fobs further away. Definitely better for the car to sleep.
