Have a delivery date for Saturday Sept 29 (Red dual motor 19" wheels) so being retired I took a ride to the PNE and had a look through the red model 3s until I found my Vin. Did a good exam of the car and Al looks good other than a tail light needing a small
Adjustment. Then drove down to Powell street and confirmed my Sat appointment, now there was no one at Powell picking up cars what happens is you have orientation
then contract and insurance at Powell and then bus you back to the PNE to get your car hope the weather is good on Saturday.

Picked up today. Same car as Franksmod3. Line waiter and configured June 27. Delivery changed at least 3 times and first car lost. First Vin assigned was 107xxx. Next one was 111xxx.

The delivery is exactly as stated above. They have too many cars to move them all to Powell street every day. So, you meet at Powell street. Check in. Watch videos (if you want) and chat while you wait to get called. (It is based on scheduled time and check in time so if you are last in your group, you will be called last). It looks like 5-6 per half hour. Delivery person calls you when it is your turn. I was second to last in the 10:30 group and got called around 10:50. Sign some paperwork and hand over the money. I was cash and no trade so about 10 minutes. Next comes the insurance agent. Get your plates and insurance. About 10-15 minutes. Wait for the shuttle to the PNE. Wander around and find a person and your car. I found the car first and they came to me. The car looked great. Not perfect detailing but pretty darn good. Didn’t find anything of great concern. Found something sticky on the drivers door and they cleaned it off. Plates installed and questions answered. Chatted with a volunteer who already owns one and got some tips. Drove away. The car is awesome. It is my wife’s car and she has warned me that I won’t be driving it so the trip back to the Island might be my last. I drive a Cayenne turbo. I think this car is more likely to get me tickets. It is sneaky fast. And so much fun!

I picked up my red AWD last week (Sept. 20) and this week I had it in to get PPF on the front bumper and ceramic coating. While I thought the paint looked pretty good at the lot when picking it up, the detailer noticed a few things:

1) The delivery center "prep" left a lot of swirl marks and small scratches in the paint - fortunately, he was able to polish and buff these away, but it's unfortunate that this is a common problem at many dealerships, not just Tesla
2) The chrome "T" logo on the front hood had scratch marks on it, presumably from where the prep guys were trying to buff out some paint issues near it. Unfortunately, these scratches can't be polished away, so I'll have to ask Tesla for a replacement.
3) There is a "nub" of some sort embedded in the paint on the passenger side door well. It's only visible when the door is open, so it's not a big deal (to me) - although if I could find some touch-up paint, I might try knocking it off and touching it up.

That's about it - I have to say this car looks great after getting detailed, polished, and coated!

Pre-inspection might be a good idea if we are signing/paying at the Powell location before we get a chance to view the car at the PNE lot on delivery day. Is the parking lot where the model 3s are stored at the PNE plainly obvious and accessible?

Lot 9 with entry on the backside near highway. If you really feel the need to preinspect. I am sure they will act honourably if you find issues that are so extreme that you don’t want the car? It is a car that will be driven miles on a road and parked in mall parking lots and have kids eat ice cream in it and dogs jump on the seats.

For those of you with Teslas in BC, how do you typically schedule service? It appears that the online service scheduler (from my account page) doesn't work for me - so I'm guessing I just call their phone number? I'll be looking for mobile service if possible since I'm in Kelowna (having some issues with the brakes I want them to look at)

You'll have to call or email to schedule the service. I worked with the delivery specialist who forwarded my request to services team. They reached me out by phone and scheduled the appointment.

Call Tesla in Vancouver. They have been very helpful in fitting us in for service when we are planning a trip to Vancouver. I try to give them a couple of weeks or more lead time. Bear in mind that my experience is for the years before the Model 3 came out in large numbers.

There is (or at least was) a plan to station a tech in the Kelowna area complete with the equipment necessary to do everything but drop a battery or drive unit. Not sure where that has gotten to over the last year, but it would really help easy the demand on the Fir St location in Vancouver.

How long before delivery did you guys receive the official MVPA and clear instructions for payment? My delivery's on Sept 30th (Sunday), but still just have the draft MVPA and no official payment amount.

I have a VIN but it was updated earlier this week FWIW.

pretty disappointed that Tesla doesn't offer any electric car option for Model 3 owners getting their car serviced in vancouver. I was told today that they currently have no loaners available for the 3 even if there is an S or an X not being used. Way to make us feel like second class citizens.

It is sad that they can't provide an EV during the service. I thought I got assigned a rental due to duration of the service (3-5 days at body shop). Are you expecting an one day service and they still assigned you an ICE rental?

I had to ask about the payment amount. They did not provide it until I asked. The website only had an "estimated" amount. I got an reminder call a day before and I asked about the amount since I did not get any update on it.

Was the first in line this morning at Powell, had no papaer work other than a reminder of my 10 appointment. Went like a breeze they had the paperwork and the balance owing was exactly as my account had shown. Instead of waiting for the rest to complete I drove myself to lot 9 and as the first one had lots of help. Only found one small tail light alignment and the gave me the service centre number to call.drove all day and did a thorough exam found a couple of small swirls etc. There was nothing I would not accept the car for. This car is a gem and beats my expectations by far. All the bullshit no communication from Tesla is forgotten and car is safe in the garage. All those still picking up tommorow the best is yet to come

I picked up as well yesterday but my process took about 3 hrs (2 hrs processing and 1hr at the PNE...but that was my choice) as there were 90 cars (I was told) they were delivering that day. Both the insurance area and waiting are were standing room only. I didn't receive any paperwork from them even after I signed and paid for the car. I was told that I would receive the sale agreement via internet which caused some grief.

At the PNE there were Tesla club enthusiasts (they have a table and tent set up) willing and able to give you a tour of the car and the essentials you should know. I found no issues with it. After my orientation at the lot I floored it in their parking lot and....WWOWOWOWOW...I had a big grin on my face and shot out like a rocket!

However, at home, there are times that the either the front or rear passengers' windows would be left down about an inch when I left the car. Does anyone know why this happens? Is there a configuration to auto roll up ALL windows upon exiting?

Thanks!

2 PM appointment today and took maybe less than 2 hours to get my car. There was a bit of waiting but I expected as much with this being the last day of the quarter. Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient. Shuttle driver showed me some basics on the way, and a volunteer at the lot was super helpful in showing me more details.

Only complaint was delivery out in the open in pouring rain was not ideal. Gonna have to wait til the car dries to do an inspection. Doesn't look like there's major issues though. So far loving the car and will need to be less sleep deprived to fully appreciate it.

VIN is 110xxx

Is there any possibility the doors aren’t fully closed? The windows drop down slightly when you open them, so my first thought was the doors might be ajar. If not sounds like something is wrong.
