Vancouver Flagship store (Fir & 4th) update

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
The photos were taken last night and this morning (16th and 17th of May)

The service bays look almost ready with the computer installed.. (wasnt there yesterday as far as I can remember) Looks like they are close to done.. the storefront looks like it still needs more stuff to be installed but I am not sure as I have never seen a Tesla store, only a showroom. Granted, this is only one half of the entire store and the other half is completely blocked with Tesla stickers... so can't see what's going on in there.
I really wonder what that Tesla parking is for.. hmm

Anyways,, I hope you guys like this update.

Cheers,

Looks much nicer than the Powell street delivery/service center in the middle of nowhere. Wished the superchargers were off Hwy 1 or 99 for long distance travel rather than in the middle of Vancouver. I guess theyhave to charge up all those Model 3 deliveries quickly in the future.

I originally thought that this would be the new SC location but I don think this location is it. It doesn't show up at n Tesla's website as coming soon under supercharger map nor teslarati's interactive map... They may have one or two for charging up serviced vehicle and showing people what it is.

I wasnt at the opening since I am not an owner. My friend just ran into the store manager this morning. He asked him when the store will be open and he said hopefully next tuesday.
Yesterday there was an X displayed along with S (red) now the X is gone and its just two S's .. and there were some people inside the store I assume they were doing the paperwork for their sig X deliveries?

Is the Powell Street Service Center now closed? I was under the impression they were going to keep that one open as well and have 2 local Service Centers since they were so busy. I was thinking of setting up my annual maintenance, and Powell Street was so much easier to get to from Highway 1. Then I noticed it is totally removed from Tesla's website. This could be really disappointing...

I was told previously that the Powell St location will remain since they prep all the cars for western Canada deliveries through there, not just the lower mainland. But the main service centre would be at the new location. Perhaps officially Powell St isn't for regular service appointments, just those delivery/preps? (Just guessing as to why it's no longer on the map)

So is 4th/Fir now officially open, or was it only open for an invite-only event? Haven't been by there lately but if it's open I should go check It out.

Powell street remains open and will be for the foreseeable;emfuture. As I understand it, work that might require more time/labour such as battery pack/drive train work, etc, and this will allow the Fir & 4th location to deal with more rapid turnover items. I suspect they'll use the locations to load balance and keep wait times to get into service much lower.
