Hey guys, I am looking to get a vanity plate. I got a question regarding the registration fee and renewal fee. My current registration expires in March. If I order my new vanity plates now, do I pay both the plate fees and vanity registration fee. Does that mean my current registration would reset to this month or will I have to pay again in March where I would get the normal renewal plus the vanity renewal fee on top of it? If that happens, would I be better off waiting till April? Thanks
It usually takes 6-8 weeks to get to the DMV. Usually you can pay your reg a month or two early. I’d order now and pay reg as soon as you get the notice. My bet is the plate will get to the dmv after you pay.
