Thanks for those. Your point about regen braking in the snow is interesting to me coming from a manual where the ability to regain grip from a freewheel is an option. Perhaps tesla traction control will advance over time to free the wheels if the car starts to wander in this way.

Yep. I turn regen off now when in icy/snow conditions.
