Yup. At this point I'm pretty sure it sees the barrels as barrels and uses it for nag timing, but I've never seen evidence of it trying to follow a barrel line.

On a related note...I saw what I thought was AP1 following a line of temporary lane marking sticker things. This is on a stretch of repaved freeway (SF Bay Area folks, it's CA-24 just west of I-680, eastbound and westbound), where there's new asphalt but no painted lines. There are temporarily those reflective tabs on the pavement (they look like big white Post-its sticking up on the asphalt). I have observed AP1 seemingly using the stickers to determine lane boundaries. I remember at one time AP1 wouldn't even use Botts dots, so this was as bit of a surprise to me.
