My car is VIN 52XX. DS said today it's in "final stages" and should be delivered next Thurs/Friday.....much earlier than I ever expected. I was told Mid 2016 and was anticipating June/July at the earliest. 90D - six seater - Premium Package etc.

Congrats! Where are you picking up? When did you get your VIN? Hopefully no build issues. Please let us know if you get a sunshade for the windshield

Hi there. Picking up at the factory in Fremont California. I received my VIN in late Feb. will let you know about the sunshade. Really hoping for no build issues. A friend picked his X up at Fremont a week ago and is having the FW door sensor issues. :(

Yes. Yours is the highest I have heard delivered, especially before 4/1.

Not anymore!

I don't know how I got so lucky - I think I was close to 19K in the wait queue. But I got my invite to configure in mid Feb, not too long after a coworker got his invite, and he was around 5K. We both started getting calls, I think in early March. A specialist, not at our local delivery center, said that if I could complete my purchase by a certain date, I could get a special factory slot that had opened up and have my X before the end of the month! So I did. They expedited my order and my X went into production within the week. My coworker missed the cutoff, and so his is still estimated for sometime "second quarter."

I got a 90D, 6 seat, premium, with autopilot.

I was originally expecting mid to late 2016, but am very happy to have it. Again, I have had no mechanical or electronic issues to speak of. Everything works as expected. Only issue I'm noticing is the windshield double glare thingy.

I haven't heard anything other than the email itself. However, my DS has never been proactive about anything. She only responds when I email her about something and that too after a day or so.
At least you're getting a response. I'm still waiting for a reply to my email. Going on 5 days now for nothing...in fact my Model 3 reservation has had more info and emails in the last week than my MX reservation going back nearly 12 months.

Another 21xx guy here. Just under 2 weeks ago my DES said my car would be ready in less than 2 weeks. Just got off the phone with my DES saying that our car was not effected by the recall and its in the finishing stages of production. They are estimating that cars will spend more time in QC than they previously were as they putting extra emphasis in quality, ESPECIALLY after the recall. Gave me a 45% that it would be delivered before the 23rd when I leave town.

That sounds very similar, i.e. the "emphasis on quality." My DS had this to say:
"At this time, we are highly focused on producing a quality vehicle and building a new product such as the Model X, is a lengthy process."
