VIN assignment after coming off hold

Those of you who put your orders on hold, how soon after hitting “I’m ready” button did you get a VIN assigned?

Just over 4 months for me. Hold in March, "I'm ready" Sept 14, vin Jan 19.

Like 3 days. This happened last week:

Tuesday: Tesla threatening to cancel August order if not unheld by Jan 27th
Wednesday: Unheld order
Thursday: June EDD
Friday: New EDD Feb 2 - Mar 2
Saturday: VIN

Just about 3 weeks for my MYP after hold released. OD was 11/5.

Jan 19: Tesla email threatening to cancel August order if not unheld by Jan 27th
Jan 23: Unheld order
Jan 24: EDD - Jan 26 - Feb 6
Jan 26: Tesla Vision --> Vin assignment 368,2XX, EDD Jan 29 - Feb 1

Very interesting. I got a similar email and it also said Jan 27 as deadline. Makes me wonder about their plans after that date.

I dunno but in other thread any order older than 120(or 150?) days has to be out of hold or be canceled. Might be new policy. Tesla has some announcements today, right?

Yes. Seems Jan 27 is a specific deadline for all on hold and order date older than 90 days.

I wouldn't read too much into it. The first batch went out with a November 16th deadline and it was entirely arbitrary in hindsight.

True. The timing maybe relevant though given that the Q4 earnings call is today. I guess we shall see.

So tempted to put my order on hold after the earnings call last night given the Austin cars are about ready to ship with 4680s and the structural packs. But i will take delivery of the Fremont car this Monday. And then the wait continues for my Cybertruck reservation… i think I’m around number 600,000 on the list so I’m thinking 2030 maybe!
