yes. Another interesting point, the email from Tesla was a person from Las Vegas. At any rate, I politely declined saying I didn't want to wait for personal delivery (not sure if it would have taken longer). After I answered/confirmed all initial questions, a few hours later I had a date, time, and VIN# (I had to see this in my account). Fun times.

Bugged my ISA today. Getting a bit fustersted. Got my vin on the 17th of June. However my ISA says my vehicle is in transit to the Nashville dealer but ‘is taking a weird way and will likely not be available until middle or end of July’.

Seems weird my vehicle would take a month or more to make it to Nashville, especially considering they arrive via rail in Birmingham then its a two hour drive up to the dealership... he made it sound like a truck was driving it all over the country first. Should I press this matter?

Here was the first email I received (at 10am today)...

Your vehicle is almost ready for shipment (woohoo)!

A few things to go over:

  • You qualify for Tesla Direct! One of our Model 3 Specialist will bring your car to your home! Your Tesla App will be fully functional as soon as the specialist leaves so you can track your vehicle! Once I can schedule you for delivery, we will need to have a 2 hour delivery window in which we can deliver the car.

  • Will you be transferring a current custom license plate to the Model 3? If so, please send me an image of the plate and also an image of the current registration.
  • Please be sure to double check registration information.
    • Note: All parties indicated on registration must be present to sign for delivery. Requests for changes to paperwork, such as adding additional registrants, may delay delivery.

Do you have any vacation plans coming up that could hinder you from taking delivery of the vehicle?

Once you have confirmed the above, I will be able to submit paperwork and we can discuss delivery details!

Please send over any questions you may have. If you would like to connect via phone, let’s set up a time. I receive a high volume of calls and scheduling talk times is more efficient.​

Interesting timing... identical configs progressing on the same day. FWIW, I've yet to hear from any human via email or phone.

Updates:
Got an email from Tesla today ar 3:50pm, requesting loan info. Didn’t check my email until 4:45pm
I logged in to my Tesla acct to provide the required loan info. Received a phone call from Delivery Advisor 10 minutes later to confirm all info that are correct.
Chose Home delivery this Friday 6/29 btw 10-11am since I am so close to the Fremont factory
Received a final purchase agreement copy 15 minutes later with final dollar amount along with VIN 0350xx

Congrats!! Man! It's all happening to fast!! I just applied for a loan, even though I don't have a VIN yet, but my "edit design" link disappeared.

Things are moving pretty fast for me as well. It seems I am the one slowing it down. Got call from ISA today a few times. Tesla wanted me to pickup the car on 6/29. I could not make it that day. They were willing to drive it down and do home delivery. I was able to set up 2 PM on 7/2 at Fremont center. I must say it was hard to postpone till next week.

I am scheduled to take delivery at the Houston-North delivery center tomorrow 6/27 at 5pm. I paid on 6/12 and I was starting to get worried because of the end of quarter and I had not heard from them to confirm the delivery tomorrow. Also, as of last Wednesday, the car was still in CA according to them, so that's when I really started to worry about a delivery delay. I called tonight after hours at about 7:15pm and surprisingly they answered. She said they are very busy because of quarter end as we suspected. She said my car was currently there in the pre-delivery inspection process and would let me know by tomorrow if we have the all clear for delivery tomorrow but I was currently still on the schedule. I was hoping to hear for sure tonight so I can sleep comfortably, but looks like I won't be hearing anything tonight and am hoping everything goes well tomorrow as scheduled!

Update#2
The odometer reading on the MVPA Final Price Sheet shows 50 miles. Just wondering that the mileage is a bit high for a brand new car rolling off the assembly at Fremont factory. Your comment is appreciated.
