VIN disappeared?

bad news too, he said I'll have to get a new VIN so I'm hoping they can find a match pretty soon still, he's calling the contracts department to see what I need to do for the loan portion.

anxiously awaiting to hear what your ISA says. Wonder if because you are picking up at the factory they can just quickly grab another car for you, I offered my ISA to pickup at Fremont if it would be quicker. I doubt they have free VINs laying around that aren't already assigned since it seem like they assign the VINs before they are even done building the car.

It was there, just checked again and its gone... This is so lame, I moved around a bunch of work travel to make that date and time work.

even if they do still means we are ~2 weeks out, Unless there is a surplus of your config which they might, I know there is a backlog for my config though.

I've gone from days of constant refreshing in anticipation of my VIN to constant refreshing to make sure my VIN is still there. Thanks guys.

Yea I'm pretty annoyed. Too bad this didn't happen at delivery. Heard stories of people getting Model S loaners. I would be ok with that for a few weeks while I waited.

I had submitted a loan application in the morning. My ISA called about the approval but when I inquired about the VIN # disappearing, she said they are shuffling some cars so that we can get our cars sooner or as scheduled as the originally assigned car may have taken longer. We will see about that.

I wish that was true but I am highly suspicious about that response.

If everybody had config date, vin date, and config in their signature maybe we could find a pattern between our situations.

I call BS lol because I was supposed to pick mine up tomorrow. How much sooner would I have gotten it? today? also I'm going through Tech CU and my loan docs are assigned to my original VIN...

I'll edit my profile later, but for reference configured on 3/22, VIN on 4/3, Delivery originally scheduled for 4/6. VIN pulled on 4/5 Blue Aero. I guess for me it was TGTBT.

My ISA said he would call me by 4pm PST to update me from what the legal team says + if the factory was able to find a match... But I'm sure thats all marketing on his part to make me feel better.

He said he would get back to me to by the end of the day. We will see what they have to say.
