Where you do a trade in of your vehicle to Tesla and Tesla sells right away to a private party that you have arranged.
In Ontario, you get a reduction of the HST due to the trade in value reducing the taxable subtotal.

I was told at Lawrence location that they can do that (their offer for my trade-in was way too low). Did not ask if there are any fees for that...

Did anybody do this "courtesy trade" for their trade-in at Tesla?

Was offered a lowball trade in value. I did ask if I could find another party with higher price and the remarketing manager confirmed yes but they charge $1000 for that.

Was going to trade but it is my understanding that offers have been ridiculously low, sold private in a day. Courtesy trade sounds intriguing if they are doing it, too late for me. I was hoping for 5k from tesla but was able to get 6700 private. Now I have to rent until the first of June.

I believe at least two people posted that both MTL and TOR both agreed to do it (at least in their cases), and I think the fee mentioned was $1000. I believe you talk to your delivery advisor to get things started.
