VINs of cars who lost back bumper cover?

I think it'd be useful to keep track of them or at least delivery dates to see if it is an issue to a specific batch of 3s. I'm worried now about my performance 3 . Hey, maybe when my normal bumper falls off the next one they put on will actually have the spoiler and badging

Wow that is just odd, I wonder what VIN number are these model 3 happening to. Hopefully it's an isolated incident.

I probably don't have to worry about this since I'm in California and we literally have no rain for the last 5 months. (But our entire state is on fire like literally tho ugh)

I'm confused. Aren't bumpers supposed to have some 5mph or 10mph crash rating where they don't deform. I've never seen a bumper not bolted on? Are they glued on and the glue just dissolves in the rain? WTF?

This somehow funnels more water up and in front of the rear bumper, causing it to act like a parachute and tearing it off.

Hmmm. I’m supposed to take delivery in less than 2 weeks and my IDA has stopped responding when she was super responsive previously. I wonder if a major recall is coming or something. There was another thread about multiple delivery date delays at marina del Rey.

Reading the threads it seems to occur in rain or with water. They report that there is some kind of fabric lining underneath that if there is a defect allows water to get trapped.
