Funny my 2022 has old mirrors as well I wish they would use new ones.I have the same problem with "fold mirrors". It wants to interpret that as "old mirrors".
What I do, is I really annunciate the 'f', as in "fffffffold mirrors".
Maybe you could try: "trunk clozzzzzzzzze"
Open the pod bay doors, Hal.Have you tried a fully compliant sentence?
“Tesla, please close the trunk.”
I'm surprised that last one didn't try to route you to Michigan.Please.
Looks like it is interpreting the voice correctly, but evaluating the request differently. As others mentioned, perhaps "close trunk" would be the right command that Tesla have set. Here is a video of the phenomenon:
Note that you can say, "Trunk C L O S E."
Home, James [my butler is also my chauffeur].Think of it like your butler. You don’t give 2 word commands to your butler. Do you?
Respect the AI butler. Nobody likes to be commanded.Home, James [my butler is also my chauffeur].
I think the initial display of "trunk close" is what the car hears. Then it gets sent to the Tesla cloud and a neural net is converting it to what it thinks is a corrected version based on the context. That works for me, though so does “close trunk” without spelling out “close”. Maybe OP won’t like the extra syllables but it would be pretty weird if a spelled-out “close” got changed to “clothes”…
Who knew? Works great!Try Close mirrors. Unfold seems to work fine.
The newer ones do think it started in 2021 my 2022 has it.My Model 3 doesn't, as far as I know, have a power lift trunk or a power close trunk. Maybe mine's just the cheap version? Anyway, "Trunk Close" or "Close Trunk" does nothing.
