Voice control button broken

The voice control button in my 2019 Model S stopped working a few days ago. Pressing it gets no reaction from the car. Yesterday I discovered that honking the horn, in addition to making the horn honk, would activate the voice control. Weird. Although the kids think that's a riot.

I scheduled a service appointment and Mobile Service says they will be out the first week of January to fix it. Google tells me that it's a hardware failure and they should replace the button.

I have the same issue in Aug 2018 S. Seems like last two S/W releases. Horn seems to activate listening but it does not work from there either

Same thing happened to me. Mobile tech replaced the switch and all is well now. Tech commented that he had replaced a number of the switches.

This happened to us too. 2017 MS. They replaced the wiring harness in the steering wheel which fixed the problem. Symptoms: nothing happened when we clicked the voice control button. After leaving the car for a while and getting back in, suddenly the car was listening to us as if we had hit the button and it would keep listening until we moved the right scroll wheel. Working great now.

They came out and replaced it in mine as well, works fine now.
