Volume doesn't respond

As of yesterday, I can no longer control the music volume in my Model 3 using the car's volume control. The volume setting changes on the screen, but nothing changes audibly, including going to mute. If I change the volume on my phone (if bluetooth streaming), I can meter the volume that way.

Anyone else getting this? Any tips to try to fix it? Just the other day I received the latest software update, so it seems to be a new bug. I've tried powering down the car through the Safety menu, no luck.

Just noticed that I also can no longer use voice command at all. The button press does nothing

Have you tried rebooting the infotainment system?

I've powered down the vehicle via the safety menu, to no effect. How does one power down the infotainment system?

Hold both scroll wheels on the steering wheel pressed until the screen goes black then release them. A little while after you'll see the Tesla logo and eventually it will have booted back up again.

Looks like that solved it. Volume control and voice command are back to normal. Thanks

I had the same problem on my MS yesterday / today, running 2023.6.8. Reboot seems to have fixed it, fingers crossed.

btw - I tested navigation voice control with “navigate to the earth’s moon” and it sent me to Cape Canaveral, Fl
