There's no traffic; no weather variations; although the lasers do have to distinguish between rock walls and......ooo, other rock walls.

All Volvo need to do is build more tunnels and they can skip this Public Beta nonsense, leapfrog Tesla and claim the Autonomous Vehicle title!

They could market it as VTV; Volvo Tunnel Vision. First choice for all your underground driving needs.

I agree. For all we know it has a set path it follows, but as an afterthought that might work fine for a mining truck.
