I see a burgundy Bolt with WSU plates on I-5 going into Portland 3 or 4 times a week, so there is at least one Bolt in Clark Co.

I saw a white Bolt at New Seasons yesterday, so they are around. Going down 14 I usually see at least one Tesla going the other way when I'm headed into Vancouver ( I saw one S and one X yesterday), but I probably see about 3-4X as many Leafs. I only see Bolts occasionally. I've seen a couple of Chevy Sparks and even saw a Fiat 500e once, but Leafs are the most common EV I see.

My SO still talks about the time we went to Trader Joe's and there was a sig red Model S and a Mercedes AMG in the parking lot when we got there and a Lamborghini drove past us while we were getting the shopping bags out. New Seasons attracts a more consistent crowd of alternative vehicles. It's rare there aren't at least a few Leafs in the parking lot. Priuses are pretty common there too. I parked next to an X once. On the way back to my car the X driver was just getting to his car and he got in and left without even glancing at my car.

The sodo service center is doing extra to squeeze in more deliveries. They called me and offered an at home delivery. I said whatever easieer for them. They said if I did an at home deliveey it would open up a slot at the service center.

That's encouraging to hear. Waning hope for those of us hoping for May delivery!

I was down at the SoDo service center earlier today and counted over 60 Model 3s between their delivery area and their 3 parking lots. It's possible that some of them are in there for some type of servicing, but I'm guessing the vast majority of them are new Model 3s waiting for delivery.

I took delivery today. The Bellevue center said they've been doing upwards of 30 deliveries a day. My delivery group had 6 cars. Washington has definitely been prioritized. I was told their goal was to deliver everyone that has configured already before the tax credit runs out. We'll see if they manage it.

Congrats on getting your car! That is good to hear, the rest of us will cross our fingers. Gotta appreciate the effort the delivery centers are putting in.

Was supposed to get delivery today but they called and said there was a problem with the window controls

They say the windows respond randomly when the window switches are used, like press it once one window goes down, press it again and a different window goes up, something crazy like that.
They are either replacing the door control module or body control module, not sure.

Anyone seen that before?

No calls for delivery so I called the center. Now they say they damaged a knee airbag fixing the windows so need to wait until Tuesday to replace the airbag.

Later I log into Tesla account and my VIN # has disappeared replaced with my old reservation #. Concerning.

The configurations coming off the production line is a limited list of variations. There is a possibility they are looking into swapping the car that was supposed to be yours with one a little newer that has the same configuration. Hence the VIN number disappeared. That's my guess at least.

Tesla started breaking the bad news today over e-mail to people that did not make the cut for May and got pushed to July, because of "an unusually high volume of orders".

Unfortunately this is exactly what I expected. They tried to prioritize some people but could not go all the way because there is also the problem of the 200K federal vehicle limit that they only want to hit July 1st.

They're either stockpiling cars as one recent article I read speculated, or, more likely in my opinion, they will deliver cars to only Canada in June.

They didn't want to try hard enough because of the July federal limit.
Maybe. But they did add extra delivery slots and started delivering on days they normally don't. They definitely made some sort of effort that was out of the norm.

Bummer that more Washington residents weren't able to take delivery before the deadline. If the local legislature had done its job, this deadline thing would be a non-issue.

For folks who recently took delivery: did Tesla collect the full Seattle sales tax and give you forms to get that back when you file taxes? Or did they adjust the invoice to reduce the sales tax amount based on the EV exemption?

My delivery specialist is saying I have to pay the full amount and get it back later and I want to ensure they are not wrong.

I took delivery on Saturday. They adjusted the amount due to allow for the state (not city) sales tax waiver. I did not have to do any paperwork.

When I took delivery on the 16th everything had already been adjusted and the tax exemption was mentioned in my purchase agreement. There was no additional form or paperwork required.

Awesome. Also, did you happen to trade-in a vehicle? I am doing that and trying to properly calculate sales tax. I am hoping the calculation is: 51K - 32K EV exemption = 19K taxable - trade-in value = final taxable amount. My trade-in is 16K so I'm hoping it leaves the taxable amount the sale at $3000.

I did not have a trade in.
