How can a car arrive in the country 16-Aug and still not be delivered 7 and half weeks later?
And it's just not one car, it seems a lot of people are waiting for Cap Capricorn deliveries?

Those vin listings are for ranges, but we don't know that every car from that range was on that ship.

Unlikely, far more likely to have been an issue with the turbo encabulator, which is a known problem with the Tesla Model 3.

Has anyone seen or heard of any new vin assignments since the Debussy was unloaded over the weekend? It seems eerily quiet on the VIN assignment front? We have another ship due later this week so I expected to start seeing some activity by now? Maybe I’m too impatient!

I had some hope there would be movement today but nada. If there's nothing by the end of the week then I shall be pished off, although Seoul Express is due in on Saturday so, the process repeats next week I guess.

Well Debussy docked at the Port of Melbourne today but there were no spotters.
Maybe next time I'll send my Phantom 4 Pro up there for the next ship
The area is on the list you can fly there just no higher than 120m (same around all of Australia) just got to watch out for the heliports.

I was wondering about this especially in Sydney. I guess the issue would be proximity to Sydney Airport.

Part of me thinks you could just stake out on the road leaving the port though and watch for vehicles over a few hours, would be determination I'm sure

All you would see is trucks leaving with containers, as I understand the containers are destuffed offsite.
