Beauty Rawlings2019!

I called my salesperson earlier today to ask him something and inquired about the status of my order. I placed the order this past Saturday so wasn't expecting anything positive (LR AWD, Black with White interior). He said that, according to his internal system, my car should roll off the line on May 28th! If true, I may get the car first week of June.

Hope yet for all of us waiting for the white interior!

Thats amazing and youll get one with HW3!! How do I verify if mine came with it?

just placed my order:

LRD
white on white
19" sport wheels (may cancel and go aftermarket...)

First gift I've bought myself in a while!

PS - still not sure on color, the white looks a little girly to me, but also really pops, unlike the others which kind of blend into the crowd. Would kill for silver but have given up on that possibility...if it comes back though after I get my car, I may jump off a bridge...

This is amazing news for us all - confirmation they are producing LR AWD and white interior.

Your store is pretty busy.

Tesla Vancouver Store Reportedly Took In ~800 Model 3 Orders Last Week | CleanTechnica

Sounds like they are selling twice as many as they can deliver at this point. Will be some long days for staff there. Sounds like Vancouver needs another store.

Can you imagine any other single car dealer handling that kind of volume?
I can understand that but the delivery center is not the same as the Tesla stores, no? Or did they deliver ~800 cars?

Placed order for SR+ white on white 18" with AP on 5/6. Waited patiently (though actually impatiently) for a while before thinking to ask my SA to check if there were any LR RWD white on white hanging around in inventory to be matched with. There was one, and though it would be a significant price bump, it seemed worth it to me to get the car sooner, in the colors I wanted, pick up some more range, full premium interior etc...

Just today a few days out from delivery I am on the phone with a delivery specialist who informs me the car will be delayed (not surprised and no big deal) because they need to get it out of a showroom in a mall in NJ and the logistics of doing that are complicated. This is more of a surprise to me because I was not aware that the car I had been matched to was a showroom model. I asked my SA about that when first re-assigning my order to the RWD and from what he could tell it was not - a big part of me does not want to fault him because he has been so awesome so far and has bucked the seemingly negative experience trend many others on here have had. Responsive, helpful, etc...

Showroom model bothers me quite a bit though as I will already be traveling over 300mi to pick up the car and I was already concerned with fit and finish, not really planning to refuse delivery (though I would make sure they note down everything) as the travel to get there and the waiting will already be a taxing commitment much less if I have to do it twice. Well now compound that with a car that has been sitting around in a NJ mall with who knows how many people getting all in the seats, overworking the little mechanical bits and pieces, smudging this and that, unknowingly scratching / scuffing everything, and just all around testing out the car - as they should - but adding significant wear. Now my concern for all of these blemishes on top of the additional cost for even going for a LR RWD vs SR+ makes me want to scrap the whole deal.

Think I will just go with SR+ white/black as there are many in inventory and do an aftermarket upgrade on the seats later. Frustrating to say the least. My standards may be too high for some people, but when I am paying this much for a car I want to know it is in the best condition possible before I fully commit. Is that too much to ask?

I received my LR RWD White on white yesterday and it was a showroom model from what I was told. It had a $170 adjustment. Everything in it is flawless interior and exterior with exception I noticed last night that the left side of trunk is a little raid when compared to the pane where the chargeport is located...its a little off by like maybe 1/16" of an inch you can't notice it until you literally walk up to it..I am guessing they can correct this if I call them in and schedule so body work to correct this? Other than that you shouldn't be too worried and again if anything is scuffed, scratched, broke ask for bigger adjustment. Mine had 20 miles on it.

I called the service center.

So I called their delivery line and spoke with someone. No VIN or Delivery date yet assigned to my account. Got a canned speech about how VIN are produced and that there's lots of cars coming to Canada in the next month so I should get mine soon. I'm guessing it's around the same time as yours or the week after if they're pumping out a bunch of them.

This experience made me realize that patience is something I have forgotten about in the digital age. Now I'm just setting up the nursery (garage), getting all the accessories ordered, watching some YouTube videos, and drinking some fine scotch to pass the time. o_O

Thanks Elon.
