FYI- individual results will likely vary but Tesla auto insurance was the cheapest option for me by at least 100$ a month

I think it does vary - a lot. I got a Tesla quote from my regular ins. carrier. I think it came to something like $550 per 6 months for me. Age, whether you insure home, earthquake, other cars, etc. - plays a lot into it. Number of miles driven and State matters.

I suggest competitive quotes for anyone without a regular auto ins. carrier.

I ordered my white/white LR no FSD Model 3 October 9th and like everyone on this thread, I haven’t gotten my VIN yet. Delivery specialist keeps telling me “we’ll let you know when your car is ready” without getting into any details.

Two sales advisors reached out to me independently (not knowing I placed an order already) and when I mentioned I already placed an order and that it’s taking forever, they offered to help but ghosted me after I gave them my RN..

I didn’t know my car loan application would expire within one month if I don’t get my car

I notice some change on my account order page today, the request change botton is no longer there and the only botton are cancel the order or update autopilot

I ordered on 10/30 and never had the option to request a change. Only had the option to request a cancellation or add FSD. I ordered the LR AWD White/white with 19” sports wheel.

Interesting news from the Tesla Model 3 Facebook group. A video of a truck carrying new Model 3s (without foreign plates)... On Interstate 210, in Glendora, CA.

Hmmm, where could they be going? It didn't say which direction they were going. If they were westbound... where? Domestic plates, they aren't heading for Port of Long Beach. If they were eastbound, maybe headed for Texas etc., there is no sane reason to climb the grapevine and get into massive traffic through Pasadena.

Or maybe.... hmmm. Not getting my hopes up. Yet.

Down south I hope

Thank you! I'll PM if you anything pops up!

Let us know how things go! I'm sure theres a lot of us are anxious for some news.

Re: Today's Owner's Workshop the Marina Del Rey Delivery Center

Well, they put on a show with a funny guy clicking thru a presentation and giving some tips and what to expect..
They confirmed that there is gonna be loads of cars delivered in the second half of December. Yes, that's bad news for us, as I was still holding my breath for a late Nov. early Dec. delivery.
I did sidebar with a few people and they are expecting the busiest delivery season. When I asked what is going to happen with all the people going on Holiday vacation? She said she asked the same question. Deliveries will happen based on order date + trim + paperwork completion.

One specific intel I got relating to financing from Bank Of America. which I will most likely as I got pre-approved (now expired) at 3.29.
They said BOA will process the actual payment later, so I will need to get from them a final loan packet or Truth in Lending Document.

They will want to finalize all paperwork (finance / insurance) prior to delivery so they can process ppl fast.

I was able to take one of the Long Range babies out for a 30min drive. Damn, I want mine. NOOOWWW!
It was nice to play a bit with the one pedal driving and tap around on that gorgeous screen.

1 more month. feels like a lifetime.

Thank yo so much for following up with your visit! Gahh I was holding my breath too for a late November early December delivery. I ordered 10/15. Tesla's website now says a 5-7 week delivery time ( previously 5-8) and from my order date, that puts me at late November early December, thats right at the current 5-7 week wait. Hoping they can deliver that.

I financed through Logix and they got me 3.29% as well. My rep at Logix just needs "MVPA-Final Price Sheet" once I get the vin and everything will be ready to go. The upsetting thing for me is that I may have to get approved again as my original inquiry was only good for 60 days. SMH at my rep who told me I was not going to wait until December...

I can get the insurance finalized quick because I'll be going with Tesla insurance, the rates seem pretty good so I'll give that a shot.

I assume you ordered a LR? I ordered an SR+ White/Black with 19's. I drove the SR only cause I know I would love the LR and if I drove it and its out the budget lol.

So we'll prob have different delivery dates but heres to another 1 more month wait! LOL.

I ordered SR+ white/black, aero. On Oct 11.
How did you get an idea for Tesla Insurance? Farmers gave me an estimate for $183/mo. I am hoping Tesla is better.

Ohh our delivery dates should be rather close!

Before I placed my order, I inquired to the phone team and they said that if you're record is good, then you can expect quotes under $200. They told me they've seen as low as $100 to as high as $150ish. After reading a lot of articles here, I'm actually starting to doubt their quote but I'm still going to inquire. Once I get my VIN, I'll be inquiring Tesla as well as other companies.

Congrats! Looks pretty similar to my spec! When did you place your order?

Well, I got impatient and flew to Portland to pick up an inventory car that popped up on Tezz.la

I turned my trade in this morning at Buena Park. Jumped on a one way flight to Portland and picked up my car and then started the trek back. I’m calling it a night at Redding and getting some rest.

Notes from a total newbie:

1) If you’re smashing on that peddle at 80-85 you can kiss distance goodbye. I have basically had to stop at every supercharger and am arriving with only 30-40 miles of range left.

2) if you’re coming from something that’s not a performance vehicle it takes a little time to adjust. These things can scoot!!

3) It’s as amazing as advertised. Absolutely beautiful machines.
