Walkaway weirdness

With the walkaway function on and the app open, I walk to the car and SOMETIMES the doors unlock. Most of the time, though, I have to touch my iphone to the driver's door handle to enter. (Bystanders may find my behavior bizarre since I usually bump my tush, iphone in back pocket, against the car.) No change in this pattern with the recent holiday software update. The walkaway lock function always works as advertised.

I’ve noticed when my phone is in the back pocket. I often have to butt touch too. In the front pocket, no issues.

The unlock requires a very strong Bluetooth signal. You don’t want it unlocking when you are far away. The water content of butts is pretty high (some more than others). Water is terrible for high frequency pass through.

OK, so your answer to my question — "Is it me or the Y?" -- is "It's actually your butt." I find this a plausible theory with the added benefit of being funny. Thank you. I will relocate my phone to a front pocket.
