Mine took a week to replace due to it being out of stock, but they simply provided a replacement without any further questions for me too. It seems it's a recurring problem for these HPWCs to fail though, which isn't exactly reassuring.

I’ve owned 5 HPWC over the past 4 years. None have failed.

I'm not sure why people are pointing out their lack of failures as something special; that should be the expected behaviour. I still see lots of reports of failures.

Not sure why you think me pointing out a lack of failure was something special. Was merely giving guidance that any thought that all HPWC fail is not correct. When you only see reports of failure many buyers may assume that failure is the norm. It isnt.

There's a fair bit of curiosity why some are getting no failures over a reasonable amount of usage and others are getting failures within weeks or in a least one case I know of 4 failures in less than two years. As you point out lack of failure should be expected, I would hope the situation will improve.

It could be bad power supply such as surges. I’ve found my voltage and frequency is very stable due to the solar inverters (I only charge during the day), and I have surge protection from the mains. I also disengage during lightning. Not saying any of this makes a difference, but maybe it does? The HPWC is an electronic device.

I realise this may be a silly question but why would one have owned so many HPWC's? (I'm a newbie Tesla Model X owner)
Tesla for me and another for the wife, so thats two hpwc. Bought another hpwc for the office so I could charge there. Actually the first tesla was for me but after the first day the wife decided it was better if she drove it so had to order another. The spare hpwc in the office was early days when I had range phobia. I now know that I dont need chargers 30km apart!
Sold the tesla’s last year and got two more, and that came with two more hpwc, albeit this time 3 phase. Hence 5 in total.
