In America the handle wouldn't be compatible so you'd need an adapter to use it on another car. I am guessing your Gen2 has an IEC type 2 Mennekes plug? I remember when installing my Gen2 there was one dip switch that was there to choose between the Tesla protocol and the J1772 protocol (america equivalent to your Mennekes I think). You probably have that switch. Don't you have the user/installation manual?

Ok, it's a Mennekes. You need to open the front panel of your Gen2. Close to where you choose the maximum current in Amps (a rotating switch), you should have a dip switch. IF you don't have the manual, you won't know what setting means what. I strongly suggest getting your hands on the manual. Also, since this is inside an electrical device, be careful and unplug everything first, close the breaker, get an electrician ideally. Don't get hurt or die for this!

EDIT: Ah, ok, then I can't help you. Hopefully someone else can.

I tried to change the DIP according to the manual.
But another car brand doesn't work anyway.
Because this one is marked "Tesla Only" it may not have firmware loaded that supports other vehicles that don't have the Tesla digital communication. In the other thread, I linked to the installation manual, but if you already tried the DIP switch in both positions, I would say that you should try to get a Wall Connector without that "Tesla Only" marking.
