Want to purchase something in the Classified section, but can't PM them.

I completely understand having things in place to stop scammers and spammers from PM'ing people selling things. However, how can someone who is a new member get in touch with someone they want to purchase an item from? The person who posted the item seems to not check here too often, or isn't getting notifications about my replies in their thread.

I know it's done to protect members, which is awesome, but it makes trying to buy something someone is selling rather difficult. :(

Your option to start a conversation should appear after you make a few more posts.
Not my system, but this envelope in the upper right corner will work to start a conversation after 8-10 posts.

I just checked and I still don't have the "start conversation" button. So, the minimum must be higher than 11 posts, which is what I have prior to this post.
It could be a post+time requirement, as I don't have many posts, but can now PM somebody.

EDIT - But looking at your account, your account is older than mine, so I dunno how they calculate it.
